Oklahoma: News Broadcast Video Caught A UFO Streaking Across the Camera Screen

A UFO caught on video during an Oklahoma City morning news broadcast, and they are asking opinions from the viewers about the mysterious UFO’s identity.

A short 13 second video was posted by KOCO 5 News in Oklahoma City on the morning of March 12, 2015. It shows a mysterious bright object flying across the screen. The video was taken by a camera mounted at the top of Grand Casino, located just east of the city.

The news broadcast presented the live video feed from the Grand Casino camera to show traffic on nearby I-40. All of a sudden, a bright object appears across the screen at a blazing speed. It moves away the screen and off to the right. It seems flying nearby and luminescent the whole time.

The broadcasters seem not noticing the object in the video because they did not mention it. One broadcaster only mentioned about the live camera feed from Grand Casino and then went on to introduce their meteorologist.

It appears that KOCO staff did notice the object while shooting the scene and posted the video of the UFO on their website with the title “Caught on camera: UFO flying through the sky near Shawnee.”

The video description says that they caught a flying object on KOCO 5 News at 6 a.m. during a morning news broadcast. However, no other details included in the report.

Viewers suggested shooting stars, meteors, bugs, fireworks, aircraft, and aliens. One viewer wrote in the comment section that aliens have gambling addictions as well. As of this writing, no one suggested the video as a hoax, perhaps because the news station itself took the video.

  1. Great post! We are linking to this particularly great article
on our site. Keep up the great writing.

  2. lufos, why are you repeating videos? if there’s nothing new to put on, that’s ok. but why repeat videos? this video got alot of responses back then too.

  3. By clicking ‘on’ and clicking ‘off’ your mouse in quick successions the ‘object’ appears to be a steady, constant light with a set determined length that is shaped like a long cigar. Its size steadily gets smaller as it moves away into the distance, which is normal.
When the video starts, a car appears at the left edge of the screen and you can see its head lights and tail lights. It looks to be a quarter mile away and moving at about 55 mph. I observed the appearance of this car for approximately 7 seconds to the point in time where the flying ‘object’ disappears. During those 7 seconds the car has moved approximately 565 feet.
By using the Doppler Effect, I have protracted the car’s distance from its starting point on the left edge of the screen to the physical POINT on the screen where the flying ‘object’ disappears. This protracted distance turns out to be approximately three fourths (0.75) of a mile. The distance the ‘object’ has traveled from the left edge of the screen to the point where it disappears is approximately 0.75 miles if not more, and it covers that distance in approximately 2.5 seconds. Three fourths of a mile in 2.5 seconds is 1080 mph, which is extremely fast for a flying ‘object’ at such a low altitude within the city limits! This thing is moving!
The sound barrier is 700 mph and nobody mentioned any sonic booms during the capture time of this video. Airplanes, drones, and missiles do not fly that fast at that altitude over populated areas – it is strictly illegal.
So, what was that flying ‘object’? Is it one of ours (on planet)or one of theirs (off planet)? I tend to lean toward the ‘object’ being a genuine UFO.

  4. Fascinating and it landed somewhere? As to sonic booms, I have often wondered why none have been reported when UFOs take off so fast etc. but then again there is very seldom any noise reported from them. Maybe they are in a other dimension/
