not alien. there is an episode of Strange Evidence about this phenomenon.
This happens when a diesel powered piece of equipment start sometimes it has an exhaust pipe that sticks straight up. I’ve seen this many many many times. It’s a travesty they use this as a potential UFO sighting. This denigrates all the serious work being done by serious researchers.
