Looks like an aircraft dropping flares to me. Just because you don't see aircraft lights doesn't mean its not there just a flip of the switch and the lights come on.

I live near North Vernon, and I suspect strongly it was helicopters dropping flares. The Muscatatuck base is just east of there and are doing anti-personnel training often.
I don't know what it is but I have been seeing it off and on for over a year or so. My hubby thought I was crazy cuz I tell him when I see it too. Finally he got to see it last night. I be live its military too but IDK. I just know it was wild to see and all the smaller lights in a cluster then going all different directions. I look for it all the time at night now hopeing to see something...
