Saw the same thing you mention on 20 April at 20:15 in Melbourne night sky. Two objects moving at great speed in parallel, then converged slightly before moving apart again.

They are Birds!! Nothing to suggest otherwise.
Birds. You can see slight fluctuations of light on each side of the point of light. These are wings flapping.<br /><br />Of course, many won't believe it is birds because they'd rather perpetuate the mystery. No mystery here: birds.<br />And yes, some birds fly at night: goose, ducks, grebes and many others.
