The office of prime minister has yet to disclose fresh development of the phenomena. The ITBP has already submitted a report to the Union home ministry on the UFO sightings but the ministry issued no explanations as of this writing.
The Indian army is reportedly investigating the strange occurrences at the appropriate levels. There were reports that an army radar was used in September to investigate the location where these UFOs were reported but the radar unit did not detect those objects. An army drone was also sent to look into the objects but failed to get information.
Indian Institute of Astrophysics, which has field stations near the lake, has said they did not detect anything strange but their staff has been alerted to closely monitor the situation for security and technology reasons.
Residents near the lake are no stranger with UFO sightings. For the past years, they had witnessed strange lights over the area which defy explanation.
The 60% of the long, narrow lake belongs to China while the remaining part is in India.
