A witness at West Jordan in Utah reported seeing a cylinder-shaped UFO floating and changing colors before moving away slowly. According to case 78051 from the witness reporting database of Mutual UFO Network (MUFON), the witness was traveling at 7000 South and Redwood when he noticed two lights floating under 500 feet.
He initially thought it was just a plane, but the lights weren’t moving. When the witness got closer, he noticed a cylinder-shaped figure in between the two bright, white lights, which later turned into purple, red, and blue. As he passed, he looked behind and saw the UFO slowly moving towards the northern side of Utah while changing into three colors.
According to Utah MUFON investigators Robert Crowe and Cary Crowe, the witness claimed to have seen a door that was centered on the cylinder, approximately 10 feet by 10 feet. The witness explained that the door is similar to an airplane that rolls up. The witness did not notice a source of propulsion from the flying object.
The investigators tried to find other witnesses in the area for four hours but failed to find one. They also contacted the local West Jordan Police Department to know if there was any report related to this strange event, but the local police received no report.
The investigators dispose this case as Unknown after failing to find another sighting of this description in a thousand mile radius.

There is a similar report. The driver/witness saw a slow traveling craft and the door in the middle of the cylinder opened. In bright light, humanoid adult and juvenile figures holding hands appeared. They appeared to be observing the witness. The report was a couple of years ago.
I saw something very similar in Perth, Australia on the 29th of August 2016. I originally thought it was a plane as it was in the Perth Airport direction. It had red and green lights slowly turning on and off originally but then it went completely purple before adding in white and blue. There was no distinct pattern between the colour shifts ranging from red, green, purple, blue and white. It would also blink out completely before coming back. The light shifts were not flashes but rather fast but gradual changes (like LED lights changing colours)
