In They Knew Too Much About Flying Saucers, Gray Barker describes a Q & A session Bender held with members of his group a few days after his encounter with the MIB. During this session, Bender stated that the men "showed credentials" - indicating that they came from some quasi-official body - and told him that if he revealed what he knew, he wd "go to gaol for a very long time" - a threat only government officials wd be in a position to enforce.
