i seen this thing hovering about what i think was about 400 ft above me in Mariposa..i could actually see the contour of the bottom and edges made visible by the lights,then turned 180 degrees,and poooof,it shot staight up and vanished in less than 2 seconds...freaked me out

I wanted to share this. There has been this bright light in the sky just S.E. of Modesto, Ca. where I live. I noticed it a couple months ago. At first it appeared to be a bright star, but then I noticed a "red" and "green" light flicker every few seconds. I've also noticed it in the morning a couple times. I have no idea what this is. is it alien or government?
