Zecharia Sitchin speaks at the Association for Research and Enlightenment

Zecharia Sitchin (born July 11, 1920) is an author of books promoting an explanation for human origins involving ancient astronauts. Sitchin attributes the creation of the ancient Sumerian culture to the Anunnaki, which he claims to be a race of extra-terrestrials from a hypothetical planet beyond Neptune called Nibiru, which he believes to be in an elongated, elliptical orbit in the Earth’s own Solar System, asserting that Sumerian mythology reflects this view. Throughout the years his theories have contributed to many cultural ideas and movies.

Sitchin was the highlight of the 2006 Ancient Mysteries conference at the Association for Research and Enlightenment. Unfortunately, because his wife was ill, he could not make it in person, but recorded a wonderful interview with John Van Auken, as well as his own stand-alone presentation. The first two parts, and half of the third part are the interview portion, with the remaining parts being his own presentation.

In this section, Zecharia finishes his interview with John Van Auken and begins his own presentation. Here he kicks off by talking about his watershed book The Twelfth Planet, as well as some of the accomplishments of the Sumerians.

Zecharia continues with his presentation on the sumerian civilization, and brings in material from his book The Twelfth Planet. He also talks touches base on Mars and it’s past.

In this section, Sitchin talks about a nuclear weapon being used in the Sinai peninsula in 2024 BC. He elaborates on the wars of gods and men, as well as the significance and fates of the various ancient spaceports.

In this part, Zecharia highlights the importance of Jerusalem as the site of an ancient spaceport, among other things… He also talks about Babylon, Revelation, and Armageddon.

Zecharia pulls his presentation to a close with a cliffhanger that hinges on reading his new book, “The End of Days”. Additionally, he addresses various end times prophecies, prophets, and the key role of the Middle East in these prophecies. As always, Nibiru is a central theme.
