i watched a show once that showed if u do some thing to the footage/picture they used this computer program that broke the image down into like pixels or some shit..and u can tell if its a fake video/picture if the pixels seem out of place or not blended in properly to the rest of the picture its clearly fake...when the video goes grey it almost looks like the object was some how edited in there
