• 3 jets in formation and a satellite. From my experience watching satellites every night the steadily increasing brightness is rare but almost always turns out to be satellite classified as a rocket-body (space-junk) and flickering, or steady increase must be related to its rotation in orbit. here is good site that shows all satellites above your area on any night from magnitude 4.5 and brighter

• I agree, looks like fighters in formation and a satellite. There are two Air Force bases in the Oakland area - Travis and Onizuka.

• They very well may be terrestrial craft, but the thing is, you can't hear a damn thing when they fly over, and you sure as hell can never see them with the naked eye. Additionally, I've seen these things make turns that any human would have a hard time keeping consciousness during... take for example dede's original Fremont footage on youtube.

• 1 craft for sure these "traingles" are components of a bigger ship that can break into 3 different crafts*
