Well, Doty is the unusable , useless linchpin here. An admitted liar, nothing, and I mean nothing he says about anything is reliable. On the other hand, the fact that the powers-that-be were willing to devote so much time and resources to muddy the waters and disinform, suggests strongly that they desperately wished to hide something worth knowing.
