In the last 10 years, UFO sightings have been reported across Farnborough, Farnham, Bagshot and Aldershot.
Ministry of Defence received reports about mysterious things in the sky on 9 occasions during the last 10 years, between 2000 and 2009.
On January 31, 2001 in Farnborough, someone claimed to have seen bright lights that looked similar to people climbing down webbing into a house. A ball of glowing red light then reported on April 13, 2009 in the same town.
Among the sightings, red lights were a common theme along the Surrey Hampshire border. Shapes involving red lights include a very large delta-shaped formation, which reported on 30th of March 2003 in Aldershot. There were also two red lights flying across the horizon in different directions and then vanishing in Farnham on July 26, 2008.
Two more sightings were reported in Farnham and one happened on November 22, 2009 wherein a noiseless, bright orange and red object was spotted. Another one was reported on August 11, 2007 wherein a UFO was seen flying slowly across the sky.
In Bagshot, a UFO sighting was reported, but no description or date was included in the report.
BUFORA (British UFO Research Association) investigations co-ordinator Heather Dixon explained a lot of reported UFOs are simply misidentified objects. She explained that most of these reported UFOs could even be insects near the camera, dust, or maybe sky lanterns.
