There was a SETI conference in Virgina back in October.
Dr Jill Tarter from SETI asked the public if anyone has evidences of a message from an extraterrestrial civilization to report it to her or her colleagues. She sounded kind of desperate, and if this is a way to find an answer, they will take it.

Check out The Vatican observatory, you'll be surprised to find out it's projects name.
Maybe they should set up cameras at that site to not only capture the crop circles forming but to note the time they formed so they can deduce the co-ordinates from where it came! I hope this makes sense.
