Latest UFO sightings – This unknown object was photographed over Culpeper County in Virginia on Tuesday, 29th June 2010.
Witness report: Hi , I’m Tim in Culpeper county, VA. I found your web site after googling “lights, sky, Luray, VA.”
I was outside with the dogs at 10:30 PM, and noticed this unusual light. We live out in the country with a nice, dark sky with a great view of the Blue Ridge about 17 miles away. There is little or no light pollution.
This light seemed to be moving slightly, ap and down, side to side, almost quivering.
I spent about 10 minutes trying to determine what it was, but with my 50-year-old eyes I couldn’t.
So I got my 21-year-old son and my zoom binoculars, and with them realized that it was actually 3 lights. So I got my 24-year-old daughter out of bed and she came out with her 10 X optical / 40 X digital zoom camera and started taking pictures and movies.
Now the weird thing, we are in the flight path for Dulles and planes go by frequently. So a plane enters from the distance and this light goes out… gone!.
4 or 5 minutes later, after the plane is gone, it pops back on, it’s back! Just as if somebody turned the light switch on.
This happened 4 times. All of us also saw tiny lights that seemed to come out of this main light, fly away, and return to it. It was still visible an hour later when we quit watching.

I may have seen the same thing on Suffolk County Long Island, Tue 6-29-10 I think about the same time my friend an I were walking my dog and saw the bright red light in the sky much bigger then the lights on a plane would be and there were no flashing lights like a plane would have. It moved slowly towards the south east and then disappeared behind clouds or something. It was very red big and

We saw something similar on the 4th of July (2010) this year. They were travelling west to east, and would fade out after a while. Usually one followed by another followed by another. No set number of them. From where we were watching them, they appeared single orbs (but we did not have the benefit of zoom lenses and were just observing them with our naked eye(s)).
